We know that moving home can an expensive process.
The first thing to consider is the timing requirements of your removal. If you are selling and purchasing, with both completing on the same day, there will be a deadline for you to be out of your current property, and a time at which the new property is legally yours. In this case, it is essential that you property is totally clear of all your belongings by that deadline (usually 1pm), at which point you hopefully get keys to your new home, and we can begin the unloading.
Try to avoid Fridays
Understandably, the most popular day for removals in Friday, giving you the weekend to begin to get organised ready for the following Monday. The demand for Fridays, mean that around 45% of our enquiries are for a removal on a Friday, with only 55% accounting for Monday to Thursday and the weekend. For this reason, we offer discounts for removals on Mondays to Thursdays, which can be as much as 40% if you book and confirm in advance.
Aim for the beginning of the month
Another trend to be aware of is that moving towards the end of the month is in much greater demand than the beginning. Of course we understand that there are usually many people involved in chains, and so to arrange things as you want them isn’t as straightforward as it may be, but if you can aim for the beginning of the month, as opposed to the end, we will be able to offer discounts, and we are less likely to be booked out.
Consider your options and our services
If you have an overlap of access to both properties, our flexible removals service may well help you save further, and also allow for a much less intense removal experience. We provide the same removals vehicles, and trained removals crews, but on a daily basis, with everything included. We will suggest the number of men and the length of time that you will require to get the job done, and the more you are willing to do in advance, such as dismantling, the more you will save.
